Wild Honey Travels Terms & Conditions
We request that you please read over the following Terms and Conditions before booking one of our Journeys: Tours, Transfers, Transport or Charters. These Terms and Conditions apply to any booking made by a Customer (you, your, their, they) with Wild Honey Travels (us, we, our). The Terms and Conditions are available on our booking platform, and they are sent via email upon completion of booking or by request. If a booking is made by you, Wild Honey Travels accepts you have agreed to the Terms and Conditions stated below.
1. Prices
All fees and charges are payable in Australian Dollars.
2. Contract and Acceptance
Private and Public (small group) Tours, Transport and Transfers
Acceptance of the Agreement for Private and Public Tours, Transport and Transfers is made on completion of a booking and partial or full payment.
Public Tours are not customisable while Private Tours are somewhat customisable.
If the Customer books the Tour/Transport/Transfer on behalf of other guests, they will be deemed the Responsible Person for ensuring each guest attending is provided a copy of these Terms and Conditions. They must provide each person’s full name before the vehicle departs. The Tour/Transport/Transfer will not proceed, and no person will be permitted entry to the vehicle, until this has occurred.
The Private & Public Tours/Transport/Transfer confirmation will include: the nature of the product, the itinerary, destinations, activities, pickup and drop-off times, duration, what to bring, total fees. If the Customer requests any changes outside the scope of the Tour/Transport/Transfer after the booking it is accepted or confirmed, extra costs may be applicable in accordance with the Cancellation Policy set out in these Terms and Conditions.
By accepting the Terms and Conditions, the Customer warrants that he, she, they are at least eighteen (18) years of age with full capacity to accept these Terms and Conditions. Where Terms and Conditions are accepted by a parent, guardian or person for or on behalf of Customer, the person warrants he or she has full authority to do so and agrees to indemnify Wild Honey Travels in terms of the indemnity contained below. Adult supervision must be provided for any guests under 18 years as instructed by us, dependent on the number of guests, under 18 years.
Charters
Acceptance of the Agreement for Charters, hire of vehicle and driver, is made when the Customer provides an email stating their acceptance of the Charter Quote and Itinerary and payment of the deposit or full payment is received. However, instructing, inducing or permitting us to confirm or commence the Charter will also be deemed acceptance.
The Charter Quote & Itinerary includes: an outline of the nature of the Charter, destinations, activities, pickup & drop-off times, duration, what to bring, the deposit payable and or the total fees payable for the Charter. If the Customer requests any changes outside the scope of the Charter booking after it is accepted or confirmed, extra costs may be applicable in accordance with the Cancellation Policy set out in these Terms and Conditions.
If the Customer books the Charter on behalf of other guests, they will be deemed to be the Responsible Person for ensuring each guest attending is provided a copy of these Terms and Conditions to Responsible Adults. They must provide each person’s full name before the Charter departs. The Charter will not proceed, and no person will be permitted entry to the vehicle, until this has occurred.
If the Responsible Person will not or cannot travel with the Charter for any reasons, another Responsible Person must be nominated by you and fully accept the responsibility for the Charter Booking, which will be deemed to have been re-made in that new person’s name. For accountability, the Customer agrees not to leave the Charter from the beginning to the completion (drop-off) point specified in the Booking without the express permission of the Driver.

Public (small group) or Private Tours, Charters, Transport and Transfers
A Tour, Charter, Transport or Transfer will not proceed unless the minimum number of guests required or the full journey price is paid, whichever comes first and is confirmed by Wild Honey Travels. Customers will be notified of cancellation as soon as possible or at least 24 hours prior to the Tour/Transport/Transfer/Charter. We may also reach out to reschedule or join another Wild Honey Travels or Operators’ tour or service which provides a similar experience. The customer will be responsible for any price difference. A refund can also be given.
3. Payment Terms
Public (Small Group) Tours, Transport & Transfers
- Single seat bookings, 1-4 seats available
- Toyota Prado under usual circumstances
- The vehicle and driver/guide is shared between individuals who don’t necessarily know each other.
- Advertised products on the Wild Honey Travels website or recognised platforms
- Nil customisation (except Transport & Transfers).
- The goods and services included in each Tour are stipulated online and in the booking confirmation.
Single seat bookings are payable in full via:
- Debit or credit card on the Wild Honey Travels website or other authorised websites. The Wild Honey Travels website has a secure online booking system.
- Credit card or booking surcharges may apply depending on method and channel of payment.
- Bank transfer or cash.
- Walk in or pay over the phone at Tourism Central Australia office. 41 Todd Mall, Alice Springs NT 0870, (08) 8952 5800 or 1800 645 199.
Private Tours & Charters
- The requested driver/guide and vehicle is booked for the group or individual only.
- 1-4 seats available unless requested otherwise and agreed in writing.
- Toyota Prado unless requested otherwise and agreed in writing.
- The vehicle and driver/guide is solely dedicated for private service to the Customer(s)
- The dates are selected by the Customer, based on availability.
- The itinerary may be that of a structured product or customised in consultation with the Customer.
- Structured products are advertised on the Wild Honey Travels website or authorised platforms.
- Prices quoted are based on the number of passengers, destination, activities and time.
- The goods and services included in the Private Tour are stipulated in the online advertised product and booking confirmation.
- The goods and services included in the Charter are stipulated in the quote and booking confirmation.
Private Tour & Charter bookings are payable in full (unless otherwise arranged) via:
- Debit, credit card on the Wild Honey Travels website or other authorised websites. The Wild Honey Travels website has a secure online booking system. Credit card or booking surcharges may apply depending on the method and channel of payment.
- Bank transfer or cash by arrangement. Where payment is made via bank transfer, Customers must include the invoice number, name and the date of the Private Tour/Charter in the description when remitting the payment. It’s appreciated if you can email remittance advice to admin@wildhoneytravels.com.au as proof of payment.
- Walk in or pay over the phone at Tourism Central Australia office, 41 Todd Mall, Alice Springs NT 0870, (08) 8952 5800 or 1800 645 199.
If required, a Quote is sent to the Customer, outlining the method of payment and total fees to be paid. When organised this way:
- a non-refundable Deposit of 25% of the total booking value is to be paid for Private Tours or Charters to secure the booking.
- A valid tax invoice will be provided to the Customer by email and payment must be made within 7 days.
- To confirm the booking, the remainder of the total booking amount must be paid no less than 30 days before the date of departure.
- A reminder email and invoice will be sent to the Customer for the remainder of the booking amount for payment.
- If payment hasn’t been received, the booking will be cancelled.
- If a booking is made 30 days or less before the date of departure, the Private Tour/Charter must be paid in full immediately (the same day), to confirm the booking.
- It is the Customer’s sole responsibility to ensure we receive payment in cleared funds by the due date.
- If a payment is not received within the specified period of time for the Private Tour/Charter, it may be cancelled. The Customer will be notified by email about the cancellation and will forfeit any deposit paid.
Extra Costs payable – Private Tours & Charters
The goods and services included in each Tour/Charter are stipulated in the itinerary, booking confirmation and or quote. The Customer must pay for all extra goods and services above and beyond what is outlined in the quote and itinerary. The Customer will pay the third-party service provider directly.
4. Cancellation, Refund and Change Policy
Cancellation by Customer
The Customer may cancel the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter and will receive the following refund:
Public (Small Group) Tours, Transfers and Transport
- 7 days or more prior to the day of departure, your payment will be refunded less administration costs.
- Within 6 days of the day of departure, no refund will be provided to the Customer
- 100% refund when you or your group are not able to attend due to decisions, directions and travel restrictions made by the Government in relation to Covid 19 in the jurisdiction relevant to your circumstances.
Private Tours & Charters
- 30 days or more prior to the day of departure: the Deposit of 25% is non-refundable. The remainder of the full amount less the Deposit and any administration costs will be refunded.
- Within 30 days of the day of departure, no refund will be provided to the Customer.
- 100% refund when you or your group are not able to attend due to decisions, directions and travel restrictions made by the Government in relation to Covid 19 in the jurisdiction relevant to your circumstances.
*The administration costs include: fees that may be levied by third party operators providing their services in conjunction with the Tour/Charter, bank fees, credit card fees, on-line booking fees and other costs associated with delivering the Private Tour/Charter or returning your money to you.
In any event, if a Customer fails to join a Tour//Transfer/Transport/Charter, or leaves for any reason prior to completion, no refund of any kind can be made.
Changes by Customer
Date change
Changes to the date of your Tour, Transfer or Private Charter can be made at no extra cost when made outside of the cancellation period stipulated in Cancellation by Customer above, but can only be made once per booking. Bookings can only be changed by contacting Wild Honey Travels directly via admin@wildhoneytravels.com.au.
Itinerary change
The Customer must notify Wild Honey Travels at least 7 days prior to the proposed departure date, in writing, if an alteration to the Private Tour/Charter itinerary is required. The change must be reasonable and agreed by Wild Honey Travels.
A fee per person per change may apply in Wild Honey Travels’ sole discretion, in addition to any charges levied by other third-party operators providing services in conjunction with the Private/Tour Charter.
Cancellation by Wild Honey Travels
Wild Honey Travels reserves the right to cancel a Tour, Charter, Transport or Transfer at any time before departure. A trip may be cancelled due to terrorism, natural disasters, weather concerns, political instability, Indigenous cultural or family obligations, pandemic/epidemic or other external events if it is not viable to operate the Tour, Charter, Transport or Transfer according to our discretion.
If we cancel the Tour/Transport/Transfer/Charter the Customer may reschedule or transfer amounts paid to an alternate product of the same value or receive a full refund of the Tour /Transport/Transfer/Charter price.
If at any time the number of guests falls below any minimum set by Wild Honey Travels, a Public Tour, Transport or Transfer may also be cancelled. An opportunity to reschedule or a refund will be given. Alternatively, a Customer may choose to pay the full minimum amount and proceed with a Private Tour or Charter.
Wild Honey Travels is not responsible for any incidental expenses incurred as a result of cancellation of a Tour/Transport/Transfer/Charter including but not limited to travel to join the Tour/Transport/Transfer/Charter, accommodation or other fees payable to third party operators providing services in conjunction with the Tour/Transport/Transfer/Charter.
Changes by Wild Honey Travels
Itinerary change
Wild Honey Travels reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of a Tour/Transport/Transfer/ Charter or arrange alternative carriers or service providers if necessary. We will ensure the service or experience we substitute will be of an equivalent standard for you to enjoy. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
Visitation to Indigenous communities, organisations, businesses or meeting with Indigenous Peoples is dependent on the Covid Policy of the local community, organization, businesses or jurisdiction.
Arrangements with Indigenous Peoples are not guaranteed should cultural and family obligations arise. Thank you in advance for your understanding and flexibility.
Changes due to Delays, Alteration or Curtailment
Notwithstanding the Tour, Transfer, Transport or Charter schedule, which we will make all reasonable efforts to adhere to, inclusions and arrangements may be changed without notice due to circumstances outside of our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to traffic congestion, inclement weather conditions, client delays or any other delays. In that event you will not receive a refund and Wild Honey Travels will assume no liability for such changes.
Loss of time or any resulting personal expenses or entry fees incurred as a result of unforeseen delays, alteration or curtailment of a Tour/Transport/Transfer/Charter, whether caused by mechanical defects, flooding, civil commotion, riots, terrorism or any other cause, will be mitigated by the Customer’s travel insurance. If additional expense is incurred for taxis or other transport you agree not to make a claim against Wild Honey Travels and release us fully from any such expense, loss or liability.
Vehicle Change
In the event of a breakdown or other mechanical defect, or if for any other reason the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter vehicle cannot be used for or during a service, Wild Honey Travels reserves the right to substitute the vehicle in its discretion to ensure operation of the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter. We assume no liability or responsibility, including for any delays or changes to the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter that may result, and will not be required to provide a refund if a substitute vehicle is provided.
All aspects of the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter vehicle, including without limit all air conditioning, windows, seats, seatbelts, amplifiers and speakers, are checked prior to departure. Should these fail in any way during a service, we will endeavour to repair or replace such during the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter, bearing in mind that continuation of the journey is paramount provided there is no safety risk to guests or passengers. In any event, it is agreed that some elements are not essential to the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter and we are not liable for any failure to immediately repair or replace them in any way.
Wild Honey Travels reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of a Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter and arrange alternative carriers if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be held liable for any damage, injury, or loss of any kind caused by or resulting from any act or omission by its employees, agents or contractors.
5. Limitation of Liability
Third Parties
Wild Honey Travels does not accept responsibility or liability if any third party, including police, government or council personnel ask us or the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter vehicle to move without allowing disembarkation of guests, as compliance with local laws and regulations is out of our control.
Wild Honey Travels assumes no responsibility for any act of negligence, act or omission whatsoever by any third party whose services are used as part of the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter provided, including but not limited to venues, establishments or premises, activity and accommodation providers.
Travel Insurance
The Customer acknowledges and agrees that travel insurance is not included in the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter and it is your sole responsibility to take out travel insurance which covers personal liability and injury of any kind, cancellation, loss of luggage and personal effects and medical insurance.
Charters
Without limiting anything in these Terms and Conditions, the Customer acknowledges and agrees Wild Honey Travels provides the Charter at the direction and pursuant to the instructions or requirements from you. Notwithstanding any act or omission by us, including negligence in relation to any activities conducted during the Charter, whether conducted by Wild Honey Travels, you or others, the Customer accepts all risk in relation to the Charter and releases and forever discharges Wild Honey Travels from all and any loss, damage or liability (including indirect, special, punitive, exemplary or consequential losses) arising in relation thereto. This includes any claim by a third party arising out of or relating to the Charter or from any delay in completion or delivery of the Charter, for any reason whatsoever and will indemnify and hold harmless Wild Honey Travels from and against all loss, damage or liability, except to the extent any legislation applies and cannot be excluded. This clause applies on creation of the Charter Booking by Wild Honey Travels for the Customer, is a continuing separate obligation and survives termination.
6. Tour Requirements
Special Dietary Requirements and Food Allergies
Where catered and so specified in the itinerary, efforts are made to provide quality meals. If you have dietary requirements or food allergy(s), e.g. peanuts, please advise at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to carry any necessary allergy medication with you on tour.
Age and Fitness Level Requirements
All Customers travelling under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for their care. The recommended minimum age for tours is 10 years. We have no upper age limit on our tours, although some trips are remote and can be physically demanding. It is important to note that Central Australia experience’s extreme weather conditions during summer. It is your responsibility to advise Wild Honey Travels (admin@wildhoneytravels.com.au) your Driver or Guide of any medical conditions or mobility issues which might put you at greater risk of incident. Travel will be at the discretion of Wild Honey Travels, the Driver or Guide.
7. Departure Point and Time
Tours, Transfers, Transport, Charters
Once you have made a booking you will receive communications e.g. itinerary to advise the estimated pick-up time and the confirmed location.
We reserve the right to change the departure point or time, up until 24 hours before the departure time. We will notify you via email of the changes and specify the new location and time to meet. Our intention is to provide a ‘door to door’ service.
The Customer must notify Wild Honey Travels at least 24 hours prior to the proposed departure date, in writing (admin@wildhoneytravels.com.au) if a departure point needs to be changed. A fee per person per change may apply at the discretion of Wild Honey Travels. Also where changes are levied by other third-party operators providing services in conjunction with the Private Charter.
At the designated time of your collection, we expect you to be waiting for the vehicle, as we have strict timelines to follow and may have others on the Tour/Transfer/Transport to consider. If you are not at the departure point, we will attempt to contact you. If we are not able to get in touch with you, the vehicle will continue on its journey.
8. Client Information
All names (first and last) and dates of birth of all customers must be provided to Wild Honey Travels. As well as the contact details for the Group’s lead person: first and last name, address, phone number and next of kin details (optional).
All information provided by you must be provided in a timely manner when requested by us, including personal information provided at booking or as otherwise requested verbally or in writing by us at any time. Failure to provide any requested information may result in delay or cancellation of the Tour/Transport/Transfer/Charter in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The Customer warrants that any and all information it supplied is true and accurate and without limiting the terms of these Terms and Conditions, the Customer indemnifies Wild Honey Travels for any losses incurred in any way (including by negligence) as a result of the breach of this warranty.
9. Customer Code of Conduct
Every person on a Wild Honey Travels operated service must adhere to the Customer Code of
Conduct below:
- Smoking is not permitted on the vehicle or throughout the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter at any location where smoking is prohibited.
- Anti-social behaviour and intoxication creating disturbance to other guests or the Wild Honey Travels driver/guide will not be tolerated and the Customer may be evicted at the discretion of the driver/guide.
A Customer who chooses to leave the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter at any time before arriving at the final drop off point, must inform the Wild Honey Travels driver/guide before departing. Transport and other costs from an early departure will be a cost to the Customer, not Wild Honey Travels.
- Customers are to remain seated and wear a seat belt (where fitted) when the vehicle is in motion.
- Any damage made to the vehicle will be at a cost to the Customer responsible.
- Changes to the itinerary once the Tour, Transfer or Private Charter has departed is at the discretion of the driver/guide.
- Personal items including electronic devices are the sole responsibility of the Customer.
- We advise Customers that they should wear comfortable walking shoes, long sleeved shirt and pants, a wide and full brimmed hat, sunscreen and carry 1 litre of water on their person per 1 hour of activity. Customers are encouraged to bring fly nets for their comfort and enjoyment.
- Customers to each bring their own re-fillable water bottle.
- Customers are solely responsible to bring any essential or recommended items on the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter, as notified by us.
- Tour/Transfer/Transport/Private Charter vehicles have limited luggage space and the Customer must limit baggage to a minimum.
- The driver/guide is in charge of making decisions in relation to the safety and wellbeing of the group. Any Customer who does not comply with the decisions made by the driver/guide or acts in a manner where they may interfere with the safety or wellbeing of others in the group may be asked to leave the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter and other costs from an early departure are at a cost to the Customer, not Wild Honey Travels.
- You will visit places where dangers and challenges will be greater than those present in daily lives. There may be a higher degree of personal risk due to participation on the tour. You acknowledge and accept that your decision to travel on our tour is made in light of consideration of this and you are aware of the personal risks involved.
- Swimming in waterholes can be dangerous. The onus is on you to swim responsibly and to do so is at their own risk.
- You are responsible for informing their guide/driver if you have a complaint about your trip so that they have the opportunity to rectify the matter. If the matter is not resolved, you can contact Wild Honey Travels via email admin@wildhoneytravels.com.au.
It is the Customer’s sole responsibility to be aware of the requirements of the Code of Conduct at all times. You must adhere to and abide by the Code of Conduct and any failure of any kind to do so may result in your being removed from the Tour, Transfer or Private Charter, or the Tour/Transfer/Charter being cancelled. Wild Honey Travels may determine in its sole discretion if any such failure has occurred, at no liability to us.
If a Customer is asked to leave the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter, they will be solely responsible for their own transport and conduct from the place of disembarkation, which will be deemed to be the conclusion of their Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter and no refund will be available for any part of the Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter that has not been completed. Wild Honey Travels is not liable after a disembarkation.
10. Photos and Video
Unless you indicate otherwise via email to admin@wildhoneytravels.com.au, all photos and videos taken of you on a Tour/Transfer/Transport/Private Charter can be used for marketing or promotional purposes by Wild Honey Travels. You grant us permission to use the images and footage royalty free for marketing and promotional purposes worldwide.
11. Privacy and Security
Your privacy is important to Wild Honey Travels. Any personal information we collect about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of your Tour/Transfer/Transport/Charter, and to send you marketing material in relation to special offers or events, unless you request otherwise. Wild Honey Travels may disclose information to our agents, suppliers or service providers to enable us to operate your tour. We will not sell, trade or otherwise transfer the information you have supplied to us. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.
12. Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wild Honey Travels makes no warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, relating to work or services in relation to the Tour, Transfer or Private Charter, including for Tour/Transfer/Transport/Private Charter activities conducted. Wild Honey Travels’ liability for any claim or action is limited to replacement of goods, supply of equivalent goods or services or payment of the cost of so replacing or supplying goods, or payment of the cost of resupplying those services.
13. General
If either party fails to do anything it is entitled to under these Terms and Conditions that does not amount to a waiver of that right. Any waiver or variation must be in writing. If any clause or part of a clause hereof is illegal or unenforceable, that clause or part is to be treated as removed here-from, but the rest of these Terms and Conditions is not affected. Any references to a party include their agents, officers, employees or assigns.
